Virginia Allen, age 90, of Kansas City, formerly of Brookfield, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at her home.
A graveside service will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Laclede Cemetery in Laclede. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Virginia Louise, daughter of Charles and Hazel (Powell) Anspaugh, was born May 14, 1923, in Marceline. On Nov. 19, 1938, she married Walter Allen who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1983.
Virginia had worked at Sunshine Biscuits in Kansas City and later worked as a sales clerk at the Jones Store in Kansas City until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolores Mynatt of Holt; her son, Mike Allen of Kansas City; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 17 great great-grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Anspaugh and wife, Helen of Liberty; and four sisters, Norma Manship and her friend, Henry Doss both of Laclede, Janette Hines and husband, Charles of St. Catherine, Beverly Milligan of Brookfield, and Sharon Coram of Chillicothe.
Her parents, one son, Harold Dennis Allen; one daughter, Loretta Louise Lance; five brothers, Conard Anspaugh, Don Anspaugh, Nelson Anspaugh, Bob Anspaugh and an infant, Ronald Anspaugh; and one sister, Betty Baker also preceded her in death.
