Clark County scored from 11 yards out a minute into the game to take a 7-0 lead. Macon would answer right back on their first play from scrimmage on a Joe Lewis 60-yard run to pull within 7-6.
Clark County returned the ensuing kickoff 94 yards to increase their lead to 14-6. Not to be outdone, the Tigers returned the next kickoff 65 yards to make the score 14-12. At this point, there was still 10:17 left in the first quarter.
Macon quarterback Craig Smith scored on a 1-yard run to give Macon their first lead at 18-14 with just over six minutes left in the first half. The Indians would answer back just before half and take a 21-18 lead.
Neither team would score in the third quarter, but Smith would find Brendan Watts on a 32-yard touchdown pass to give Macon a 25-21 lead with just over eight minutes to go in the game. Clark County came right back and retook the lead 27-25 with five minutes left.
Smith would account for the next two touchdowns to put the game away for the Tigers, a 1-yard run and a 47-yard pass to Caleb Perry for the final of 41-27.
Macon improved to 3-1 with the win while Clark County fell to 3-1.
