The Chillicothe City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Prior to the meeting, the council will hold a site visit at 5 p.m. at the hospital construction site, followed by a workshop at the City Hall Conference Room at 6 p.m. The hospital project's progress will be discussed, as well as any other matters regarding the project.
Several topics are on the agenda, including a discussion regarding the recent golf course administration reorganization. A new general manager was recently hired for the golf course, so job descriptions and salaries are a couple of the items that will be established from the discussion.
Mayor Chuck Haney will proclaim Nov. 15, 2013 as Arbor Day in the city of Chillicothe, urging citizens to support efforts to protect trees and woodlands in the area, as well as support the local urban forestry program.
A discussion and resolution regarding the issuance of Chapter 100 bonds (for personal property tax abatement) for IBC North America will take place as well Monday evening. An ordinance will be voted on following the resolution, which would authorize an engagement letter with Gilmore and Bell to bond counsel services for issuance of Chapter 100 bonds (Industrial Development Revenue Bonds) in connection with the IBC North America project.
The Railroad Advisory Board will also be discussed. The public is invited to attend this open meeting.
