  • With more than $100,000 raised in Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit eligible donations through the Missouri Department of Economic Development, additional renovations began this month by Copeland Construction of Chillicothe to the former Savage Grocery building, soon to be North Missouri Center For Youth & Families. Once completed, the near 10,000 square-foot facility will boast a learning center classroom, computer lab, kitchen, community multi purpose room, ADA compliant restrooms, and open recreational space. In addition, the Chillicothe Martial Arts program will call the building home. With an anticipated mid-to late-January opening, NMCYF still has more than $200,000 in NAP tax credits available. Any business, business owner, farmer, or rental property owner interested in receiving these 70 percent credits, can contact Daniel Savage, executive director at 660-247-1703. NMCYF is a 501c3 organization, making any donation tax deductible.
