  • The Chillicothe City Council will hold its regular bi-monthly meeting at noon Tuesday, Dec. 31, in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
There will be a discussion and possible ordinance accepting a bid for the Airport Farm ground. Every year, the city allows the public to bid on a plot of land at the airport that may be farmed for one full year. The winner of the bid pays the cash rent to the City of Chillicothe for the year. There will also be a discussion and possible ordinance regarding proposals for legal services and for prosecution of ordinance violations.
Mayor Chuck Haney will introduce the fire department's newly promoted employees. Tracy Bradley was recently promoted to lieutenant and Les Hinnen was promoted to captain.
Ike Holland will present a discussion and ordinance regarding an addendum to the ADAMS Management Agreement in regards to Hedrick Medical Center. According to Attorney Robert Cowherd, the current contract with ADAMS allows the company to act as an owner for representatives to the hospital construction, overseeing the construction progress and reporting to the City of Chillicothe. The contract is due to expire at the end of this year, and the construction on the hospital is not quite complete. The council will discuss extending the contract for another six months to ensure that they will oversee the completion of the hospital project.
Holland will also present a discussion and ordinance for a supplemental agreement with LOCHNER for airport land acquisition. There will be a discussion and ordinance setting the 2014 rates for the Golf Course, and Holland will also present surplus bids on items that were deemed surplus to the city.
