Former Even Stevens star Christy Romano married longtime boyfriend Brendan Rooney in Alberta, Canada on Tuesday, People reports.
The couple said "I do" at the Fairmont Banff Springs in front of 50 guests. "I went there when I was performing The Sound of Music in Calgary with Marie Osmond," Romano, 29, told the magazine. "It was such a magical feeling that stayed with me, so I wanted to recapture that on my wedding day."
The bride wore a Lazaro gown, while the groom, 30, sported a Hugo Boss tuxedo. Guests dined on tuna and avocado tartar, beef tenderloin and grilled prawns and a white chocolate wedding cake after the ceremony.
The two met in February 2011 when they were both studying at Columbia University, where Romano was working on an on-campus documentary about veterans and Rooney was one of the subjects interviewed. He proposed nine months later in Italy.
Since starring alongside Shia LaBeouf on the Disney Channel sitcom, Romano lent her voice to the lead character of the channel's popular animated show Kim Possible, as well as the video game Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. She also made several turns on Broadway, in addition to working as a singer-songwriter.
