owntown Chillicothe is rich in historic architectural treasurers.
Downtown Chillicothe is rich in historic architectural treasurers. The Courthouse Square Historic District and the Commercial Historic District, along with individual buildings, are recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. To celebrate these listings, Chillicothe is hosting an architectural scavenger hunt. On page 16 of today’s C-T, is a panel of 12 pictures, each displaying an architectural feature found in the downtown area. All details are on buildings located in the downtown district located between Calhoun, Walnut, Ann and Elm streets. All details are visible from a public street or sidewalk. Also on page 16 is an entry form for those wanting to participate. On the lines provided under each picture, print the name and/or address of the buildings on which the architectural detail appears. Complete the entry form and return it to the Constitution-Tribune at 818 Washington Street or the Chillicothe Commerce Center at 514 Washington Street on or before 4 p.m. on Friday, June 27. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Entries listing the correct location for all of the details will be entered in a drawing for prizes offered by Main Street Chillicothe.
