The Relay for Life of Livingston County has a full night of activities set for Friday evening at Simpson Park.
The Relay for Life of Livingston County has a full night of activities set for Friday evening at Simpson Park. Events begin at 5 p.m. with the opening ceremonies, the silent auction, music by MCW Productions and games. At 6 p.m. the survivor recognition/lap occurs along with the caregiver recognition/lap and the team parade. To begin at 7 p.m. is the mission activities. Scott Cady will get his head shaved at 7:14 p.m. and at 7:30 entertainment will be provided by Monica England. Take note the silent auction closes at 8 p.m. along with entertainment by Penny and Cody Kennebeck. At 9 p.m. is the luminaria ceremony and more games to follow at 9:30 p.m. MCW Productions will entertain at 10 p.m. and to follow is the fight back/closing ceremonies. The evening will conclude at 11 p.m. with clean up. The Relay for Life of Livingston County event chairman, Kathy Rennells, reports that more than $15,000 has been slated in donations so far with six teams participating in the event. The public is invited to take part in the event with something for everyone. There will be booths featuring churned ice cream, pies and cakes, walking tacos, enchiladas, hotdogs, barbecue beef sandwiches and games.
