Local talent took center stage at the Mervyn Jenkins Expo Center Sunday evening as youth up to 21 years of age competed in the talent show. In the 7 years and younger category, an entry called “The Frogs” took first place. Those who were part of the group were Macee Albrecht, Taylor Powers, Molly Kennebeck, Elizabeth Oliver, and Carmen Woodworth. Avery Baxter and Jolie Bonderer, members of Rich Hill Junior Workers and Double H 4-H clubs, took second place with a vocal number. Mya Oliver placed third with a dance. In the 8 to 13 years of age category, Terryn Dodson, a member of the Busy Bees 4-H Club, captured first place with a piano/harmonica performance. Kennedie Kieffer, a member of the Rich Hill Junior Workers 4-H Club, placed second with a vocal number, accompanied by her grandfather, Mike Bonderer. Edison Turner and Aalayah Kirkpatrick took third place with a dance. Also performing in this age division were Landon Baker (guitar solo with Joyce Stark), Gavin Funk and Landon Baker (guitar duo), Gavin Funk (guitar solo with Joyce Stark), and Jaclyn Hines with a vocal number. In the 14 years of age and older category, Sarah Murphy took first place with a vocal number. Winners were awarded gift certificates.
