Sliced Bread Saturday, a new festival planned for downtown Chillicothe this Saturday, Aug. 2, has just announced its entertainment line-up on The Pepsi Stage in Silver Moon Plaza.
Sliced Bread Saturday, a new festival planned for downtown Chillicothe this Saturday, Aug. 2, has just announced its entertainment line-up on The Pepsi Stage in Silver Moon Plaza. Two dynamic, professional, family-friendly acts from the Kansas City area will be the highlights. Dino and The Dinosaurs will take the stage at 10 a.m. and Drum Safari will follow at 11 a.m. Both performances are high-energy fun to entertain children of all ages. Dino O’Dell has released two CDs with his current group, Dino O’ Dell and the Veloci-rappers. Dino has performed his hit children’s songs around the Kansas City area and also at the White House. Dino has performed and taught music-based programs for more than 15 years. Dino and his music groups have opened up for the legendary Alvin and the Chipmunks, the pop band The Archies and many other groups. Drum Safari is an interactive percussion experience. The group has been dedicated to teaching and providing fun and educational musical experiences to people of all ages since 2001. Brandon and Teryn Draper met while studying percussion and education in college. Brandon has performed all over the world and has experience teaching middle school through college level students. Sliced Bread Saturday features many more activities throughout the day. Other highlights include: A Walk In Time — living history mural tours, music provided by DJ Ed Englert, a children’s area with games and activities, sidewalk sales at downtown businesses, a variety of venders, and the annual bread baking contest.
