Some local individuals are lending their acting talents to Sliced Bread Saturday, a new festival planned for downtown Chillicothe this Saturday, Aug. 2. ‘A Walk In Time’ is a guided mural tour featuring interpretive actors at eight downtown murals. The tours run from 8 until 10 a.m. and begin at the Livingston County Courthouse. The tours are free and will depart about every 15 minutes from the Courthouse. Each ‘Walk In Time’ mural tour lasts 20-30 minutes and covers an easy walk of one city block. The Walk In Time features 8 of Chillicothe’s 18 historic downtown murals including Windows In Time, Milbank Mills, Palace of Fashion, Going Places, Transportation, Agriculture, The Chillicothe Business College and Home of Sliced Bread. Seven local actors and one visiting actor are portraying historic figures at each mural. Our actors include Will Keiffer, Bruce Brodmerkle, Sue Bachman, Lisa Marks, Noah Holland, Lisa Rule, Carly Hibner and Eric Sensenich. Sliced Bread Saturday features many more activities throughout the day. Other highlights include: entertainment on The Pepsi Stage by Dino and the Velociraptors and Drum Safari, music provided by DJ Ed Englert, the Kiwanis children’s area with games and activities, sidewalk sales at downtown businesses, a variety of venders, and the annual bread baking contest. The event is free of charge and is presented by Main Street Chillicothe and the Greater Chillicothe Visitors Region. For more information about Sliced Bread Saturday, call 660-646-4071.
