Billy J. Beverlin, 67, a resident of Paola, Kansas and former resident of Laredo, Mo. died Tuesday night August 05, 2014 at Dwight D. Eisenhower Veterans Administration Medical Center, Leavenworth, Kansas Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Slater Funeral Home, Trenton, MO. with Rev. Kyle Beverlin officiating. The body was cremated. Memorials to: Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society, Kansas City, MO. Mr. Billy J. Beverlin, was born November 28, 1946 in Trenton, MO, the son of Charles Herman and Frances Laura Lankford Beverlin. He graduated from Trenton High School and attended Trenton Junior College. He was veteran of the Vietnam Era serving in the U.S. Army. Billy was employed as a Special Agent for the Union Pacific Railroad before retiring. On August 4, 1969 he was married to Linda Darlene Glines at Tacoma, Washington. His survivors include his wife Linda of the home. One daughter Jerre Wassenberg and husband Kurt of Abilene, Kansas. One son Lonnie Beverlin and wife Claudia of Paola, Kansas. His mother Frances Milner of Trenton. Three brothers Mike Beverlin, Larry Beverlin and wife Lana and Gary Beverlin and wife Debbie all of Trenton, MO. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Tyler Wassenberg, Nils Beverlin, Makayla Wassenberg, and Kai Michael Beverlin. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Beverlin.
