Ulises Rojas portrays Mike, a nerd, who only likes to watch TV and play games.
Rojas, 15, is a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. He likes playing guitar and singing. He says he is “kind of a nerd.” I play Play-Station 3 as much as I can.” He also enjoys playing soccer. This is Ulises’ first time in a play.
Penny Kennebeck portrays Mrs. Teavee, the mother of Mike, who is addicted to ALL electronics. “I believe that is more important than school or education!”
Penny, who says she is old enough to know better, has been involved in the Hamilton Community Arts Theatre, singing performances, and high school drama. She is principal at Chillicothe Alternative Center for Education.
Willy Wonka will be presented by the CHS Drama Department Feb. 10, 11, and 12. Show times at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at CHS and Community Press.
