With the price of gasoline and groceries soaring, who’d think there would be something wonderful for free, just waiting around the corner. But there is! Friday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m., the Chillicothe Area Arts Council will show the movie “The Sound of Music” on a huge screen at the Chillicothe Middle School Field House, 1529 Calhoun Street.
Bleachers will be available for seating, or those attending may bring blankets to throw down on the gym floor and watch the movie in comfort. (No lawn chairs, please, as the gym floors will have just been refinished in time for the opening of the school year.)
Popcorn and soda will be on sale, and Chillicothe Area Arts Council season ticket holders will get their first pop and popcorn free!
Bring your family and friends and enjoy a free night out, compliments of the Chillicothe Area Arts Council, The Missouri Arts Council and the Mervyn Jenkins Foundation.
