The 23rd annual HOT ROD Power Tour returns in 2017 with exciting new features for auto enthusiasts worldwide, as the highly anticipated seven-day, seven-city journey is expected to bring together more than 6,000 vehicles and upward of 100,000 spectators June 10-16.

The 23rd annual HOT ROD Power Tour returns in 2017 with exciting new features for auto enthusiasts worldwide, as the highly anticipated seven-day, seven-city journey is expected to bring together more than 6,000 vehicles and upward of 100,000 spectators June 10-16. The event starts in Kansas City with activities tomorrow night and Saturday. The actual tour begins Sunday morning with automobiles leaving Kansas City at 7:30 a.m. The route takes them to Highway 24 at Waverly and then north on Highway 65 to Iowa and then on to the Iowa Speedway. It is estimated cars are expected to roll through Chillicothe around mid-morning Sunday. The public is invited to come out and witness the vehicles drive by. The HOT ROD editor-in-chief says it’s difficult to say, but the automobiles could stretch out approximately three miles. The editor stated that it can take almost two hours for the line of automobiles to move through smaller cities at times. Presented by Chevrolet Performance and driven by Continental Tire, HOT ROD Power Tour is widely considered to be the finest high-end automotive tour in the world, bringing to life the HOT ROD brand as performance car lovers join HOT ROD editors and photographers cruising through small -town America. Enthusiasts from around the world celebrate as HOT ROD Power Tour welcomes all makes and models of hot rods, street rods, custom trucks, muscle cars, and performance machines of every vintage and nameplate. For many, HOT ROD Power Tour is the ultimate vacation with friends and family. Those who travel from start to finish are considered the “Long Haulers,” a title they proudly boast. The 2017 HOT ROD Power Tour anticipates more than 2,100 long-haul vehicles and 3,500-plus “Long Haulers” on tour. The tour kicks off at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday.
