Kenneth L. Ware, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Kenneth L. Ware, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Kenneth was born the son of Johnson and Donna (McClure) Ware on October 27, 1928, in Lock Springs, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Lavaun Marie Whitworth on May 1, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2014. He worked as a truck driver for Churchill Truck Lines for many years. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 41, the Chillicothe Friendship Masonic Lodge #89 AF & AM, the Chillicothe Shrine Club, and the Moila Temple of St. Joseph. Survivors include one daughter, Janet Churchill and husband Cliff of Lawrence, Kansas; one stepson, Steve Duncan and wife Mary of Pittsburg, Kansas; four grandchildren, Michel Dungan of Pittsburg, Kansas, Michael Duncan of Smithville, Missouri, Brant Duncan of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Amy Anderson of Ludlow, Missouri; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Jean McCloud of Grand Junction, Colorado; and one sister-in-law, Virginia McCollem of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lavaun; two brothers, Wendall and Mack Ware; and great grandson, Charles Anderson. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
