This composite of photographs, taken by Constitution-Tribune photographer Butch Shaffer, shows phases of the moon passing in front of the sun during the total solar eclipse Monday. Shaffer used a filter to take the photographs. He then selected a series of photographs and layered them on top of each other to show a partial sequence of the eclipse.
