The Chillicothe High School drama department is inviting the community to “Be Our Guest” at the fall production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” being presented Thursday, Friday and Sunday. A cast of 50 will bring this beloved story to life. As a Disney production, the cost of the show is high, with royalties for a Disney show being several thousand dollars in addition to thousands spent for extensive costuming, according to Lisa Rule, drama instructor. The production is a musical and will feature the talents of many community members. David Goodwin, retired longtime CHS band director, will lead a 10-piece orchestra for the production. “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” will be presented at Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center this Thursday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults or $10 for senior citizens and students. Preschool children will be admitted for free but must be able to sit quietly.
