The Chillicothe High School drama department presented its fall production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” Thursday and Friday and will have another performance on Sunday, Dec. 3. A cast of 50 were involved in bringing this beloved story to life.

The Chillicothe High School drama department presented its fall production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” Thursday and Friday and will have another performance on Sunday, Dec. 3. See Photo Gallery Here  As a Disney production, the cost of the show was high, with royalties for a Disney show being several thousand dollars in addition to thousands spent for extensive costuming, according to Lisa Rule, drama instructor. The production is a musical and featured the talents of many community members. David Goodwin, retired longtime CHS band director, led a 10-piece orchestra for the production. This year’s production marked the 50th year of drama at Chillicothe High School. The first production was “Our Town” in 1967, under the direction of Virginia Wall and Barbara Guille.
