The Livingston County Extension Council a non-profit that supports and enhances educational programs and activities for youth and adults of Livingston County has received a donation of $5,000 from Chula Farmers’ Cooperative and CoBank as part of the bank’s “Sharing Success” program.

The Livingston County Extension Council a non-profit that supports and enhances educational programs and activities for youth and adults of Livingston County has received a donation of $5,000 from Chula Farmers’ Cooperative and CoBank as part of the bank’s “Sharing Success” program. “The Livingston County Extension Council benefits the entire community by promoting lifelong learning and the common goal of creating positive change through knowledge,” said Dan Murphy, general manager of Chula Farmers’ Cooperative. “We are honored to team up with CoBank to help the Livingston County Extension Council achieve those objectives.” “This donation from our friends at Chula Farmers’ Cooperative and CoBank will allow us to continue to provide the services and research based programs that are so important to the citizens in our community,” stated Jessica Trussell, county program director. First launched in 2012 to celebrate the United Nations’ International Year of the Cooperative, Sharing Success has matched contributions to hundreds of charitable organizations in all 50 states over the past five years. Together, CoBank and its customers have contributed more than $25 million to support the efforts of these organizations, the majority of which are located in rural communities. “Sharing Success has had a broader and deeper impact than we ever imagined,” said Tom Halverson, CoBank’s president and chief executive officer. “We are delighted with the growing participation in the program by our customers, and deeply grateful to them for their assistance in identifying worthy charitable causes deserving of our support. The Chula Farmers’ Cooperative has been a strong supporter of non-profit organizations in the community receiving Sharing Success grants for local entities for the past four years.
