Finley Hansen, a first-grade student at Dewey School, shares with school board members her reading Padlet, a collection of individual reading activities during the board meeting Tuesday evening. Jocelyn was among several students who shared activities from an online learning journal called, Seesaw. One of the classroom activities the students are involved in is a Book Snap. During the Daily 5 students have reading and writing choices. A book snap is when a student takes a picture of the book, then records a “snap” of themselves reading aloud. The students recently used a green screen to create a MLK Day “I have a dream” speech.
