UPDATE: The community Easter egg hunt, scheduled for Saturday, March 24, has been postponed until Saturday, March 31, due to rainy weather.

The eggs – all 4,000 of them – are filled and ready for placement for the community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, in Simpson Park. There will be four age categories for children ages birth to 10 years and a grand prize for each age category. The hunt is sponsored annually by the Chillicothe Parks Department and the Grand River Area Family YMCA and usually involves hundreds of children. Organizers advise those who wish to participate to be on time as the event lasts just a couple minutes.
