CHS prom, Grand March Saturday Chillicothe High School’s prom is tomorrow (Saturday) and has a pirate theme of “Set Sail for Treasure Cove,” which was chosen in November. The public is invited to the traditional Grand March, which begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. Parents of CHS juniors and seniors have been given preferred seating tickets to sit in the front half of the PAC, but anyone is invited to attend and view the couples as they are introduced. A dance will follow at 8 p.m. at the Litton Ag Campus, with Adam Mast of Mast Productions providing DJ service. Food is being prepared by mothers of the Junior Executive Committee. Decorating began Sunday and was scheduled to be finished today, according to Lisa Rule, junior class sponsor. “I can’t reveal the decorating specifics, but I promise there will be 4,000 of something,” she hinted. There are 140 couples who are expected to attend prom. Entertainment continues after the dance with the high school’s Project Prom. Project Prom began many years ago as a fun and safe after prom party. This year, Project Prom will be from 11 p.m. until 3 a.m. at the high school, according to Rachael Wheeler, coordinator. Food, prizes and monetary donations create a draw for the event each year, with more than 100 students attending.
