Chillicothe High School seniors, dressed in their graduation caps and gowns, are greeted by enthusiastic kindergarten and first-grade students lining the halls at Dewey School during a special walk-through at the school Thursday afternoon. Three buses were used to transport the seniors to Dewey School. This was the first of what may become an annual tradition for CHS seniors. Many of this year’s graduating seniors began their education within the walls of Dewey School in 2005. This is the final year that Dewey School will house the kindergarten and first-grade classes. Beginning this fall, these grades will be moved to the new elementary school, along with the preschool classes. Students of this year’s kindergarten class will be part of the CHS Class of 2030. The seniors wore their caps and gowns again for baccalaureate Thursday evening. Graduation takes place Sunday.
