Good health starts with proactive awareness, followed by action. Hometown Pharmacy staff members believe education is the vehicle to begin learning about wellness-based self improvement. It is never too early to learn, so that is why they will be giving away free backpacks.
On a first come, first-served basis, beginning tomorrow (Aug. 8, Hometown Pharmacy will being the Free Backpack Program as another example of demonstrating their commitment to the community and families.
The backpacks will contain an assortment of school supplies recommended by area school administrators for first grade students.
“This is our way of thanking our loyal customers for their support and introduce ourselves to prospective customers. We are planning to be part of the community well into the future and this is our way of giving back,” said pharmacy co-owner, Mike Palmer.
All that is required for a child to receive a backpack is for a parent or guardian to come to the store to sign for the backpack. There is a limit of one backpack per child. For more information on this program, stop by Hometown Pharmacy at 601 Locust Street or call 646-PILL (7455).
