A Chillicothe man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of statutory rape and sodomy.
43rd Circuit-Division One Judge Warren L. McElwain sentenced George W. Jackson, 56, of 627 Commercial Street Wednesday as part of a plea agreement.
Jackson had been charged with 24 counts of statutory sodomy, incest, statutory rape, and sexual exploitation of a minor for crimes which allegedly occurred from July-November 2007. As part of the agreement, Jackson pleaded guilty to five counts of statutory rape and one count of Statutory sodomy in the second degree.
The judgment followed emotional testimony from the victim during the sentencing hearing.
Jackson, held in the Livingston County Jail since his arrest in September 2008, was to be transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph, Mo. today.
