The Chillicothe Lions Club will be participating in the downtown BooFest this Friday, Oct. 31, at the north end of the Chillicothe State Bank building.
The Lions Club will be distributing treats and collecting used eyeglasses for the Lions International Sight Night program.
The local club routinely collects 1,000 pairs of eyeglasses annually which are sent to the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation in Columbia, Mo. At the foundation, the eyeglasses are sorted and packed for shipment to visiting doctor programs around the world.
Those donating eyeglasses will be entered in a drawing for a free lunch at Boji Stone Café in Chillicothe.
For more information, contact Lion Secretary R. Wayne Cunningham at 646-6555 or any Lions Club member.
