Elissa Cypert portrays Violet Beauregarde, a world-renowned gum-chewing champion who has issues with authority. She also has a “sweet” subtle southern accent.

Cypert, 16, is a junior at Chillicothe High School. Her on-stage performances include being a member of the Choraliers, “One Act Plays”, “Hide and Shriek” (Granny Dimshroud), and “Aladdin”.

Marcia Arnel portrays Ms. Beauregarde, a geography teacher who is beyond proud of her daughter Violet’s successes!

Arnel, who says she is “old enough” has performed on stage before in “One Acts”, “The Man of LaMancha”, “The Miracle of Easter”, and “The Christmas Story”. Arnel is a Chillicothe Middle School teacher, “intriguing young minds in science.”

Willy Wonka will be presented by the CHS Drama Department Feb. 10, 11, and 12. Show times at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at CHS and Community Press.
