Brooks sturm portrays Augustus Gloop, a boy of “large” stature who eats constantly, but in the end gluttony is his downfall.

Sturm, 17, is a junior at Chillicothe High School. He has been in several plays, including “Revenge of the Space Pandas” and the “St. Columban production of Fatima: The Lady, the Children, and the Message.” He is active in several clubs and attends two Christian youth groups. He says, “Every side is my good side.”

Sue Bachman portrays Mrs. Gloop, an over-protective and over-indulgent mother.

Bachman, who says she is older than her teeth, has performed in “You Can’t Take It with You”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Dracula Spectacula”, “Into the Woods”, “Cookin’ Up Christmas”. She is a farmer’s wife, a not-so-silent partner in Bachman’s Cattle Farm, and is the Chillicothe Area Arts Council light technician.

Willy Wonka will be presented by the CHS Drama Department Feb. 10, 11, and 12. Show times at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at CHS and Community Press.
