KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Matt J. Whitworth, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that two Chillicothe, Mo., men were sentenced in federal court Wednesday for participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the Chillicothe area.
Allen O. Anderson, 47, and David W. Boley, 50, both of Chillicothe, were each sentenced in separate appearances before U.S. District Judge Howard F. Sachs Wednesday morning to five years in federal prison without parole.
Both Anderson and Boley pleaded guilty on Jan. 22, 2009, to their roles in the drug-trafficking conspiracy. Anderson and Boley admitted that they were distributing substantial quantities of methamphetamine in the Chillicothe area. The readily-provable amount of methamphetamine possessed and sold by Anderson and Boley during the conspiracy was 6,500 grams.
Anderson and Boley are the first co-defendants to be sentenced as a result of the NITRO investigation. Fourteen co-defendants, who have pleaded guilty and await sentencing, are George Kitchin, 55, of Chillicothe, Gary D. Fobair, Jr., 29, of St. Joseph, Mo., William L. Allen, 50, of Maryville, Mo., David Gagnon, 50, and Glenna Weers, 48, both of Dearborn, Mo., James M. McCarthy, 46, of Sarcoxie, Mo., Adan Perez-Patino, 36, Sheila Best, 44, and Kenneth Thompson, 51, all of Kansas City, Kan., Ronald G. Boyd, 45, and Marco W. Montgomery, 40, both of Kansas City, Mo., Robert H. Studer, 46, of Beattie, Kan., and Russell W. Willett, 46, and Kathleen Novy, 50, both of Mountain Home, Ark.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles E. Ambrose, Jr. It was investigated by the NITRO Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Cameron, Mo., Police Department.
NITRO, the Northwest Missouri Team Response Operation, is a task force led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. NITRO is a joint law enforcement effort by federal, state and local agencies in the 16-county region.
