Three die in Carrollton house fire

CARROLLTON, Mo. (AP) — A mother and her two children are dead after a fire swept through a house in northwest Missouri’s rural Carroll County Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported around 9:02 a.m. at the home about two miles north Carrollton.
Carrollton Fire Department Chief Curtis Shields reported that the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Fire crews spent three hours extinguishing the blaze.
The victims were found dead inside two different bedrooms. They were identified as Christy Endicott, 34; Dawson Warner, 3; and Christian Warner, 1.
Sources say that Kenny Warner, a resident of the home, is employed with Chillicothe Correctional Center and was working at the time of the fire. Two older children residing at the home reportedly were at school when the fire broke out.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office.
