The Chillicothe Aquatic Center will be open until 8 p.m. on Thursday nights to accommodate families wishing to swim in the evenings.

These hours will take effect July 3, and will continue on Thursday evenings for the rest of the season. Fees will remain the same: $2.75 for students and $3.75 for adults. The aquatic center will close at 6 p.m. all other nights.

This policy was adopted due to low numbers of visitors and the costs associated with keeping a minimum number of staff on site when the facility is open, according to Ron Krammes, director of Parks and Recreation.
