This Friday, Sept. 3, will mark the last installment of the Tunes under the Moon summer concert series and everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs to Silver Moon Plaza and enjoy the acoustic country sounds of Denver native Coles Whalen.

Friday’s event, which is free to the public, is presented by Barnes Baker Motors and will be held from 7 until 9 p.m.

Event promoters say Whalen knows how to jumpstart a music career, literally. After independently releasing an EP in 2005, she bought a pick-up truck and camper and never looked back. In the next 12 months, she played over 150 venues across the western U.S. and sold more than 10,000 records in the U.S. and Canada straight out of the back of her truck.
