Chillicothe, Mo. -

Chillicothe city officials are asking local residents to follow local ordnances when celebrating the Independence Day holiday this year and to use caution when shooting fireworks. Chillicothe Police Department officials say they have already handled many complaints of people discharging fireworks, although legally, residents within the city limits were prohibited from igniting fireworks until today (Wednesday). Emergency service officials are also urging residents to be careful when shooting fireworks to avoid accidents this Fourth of July.
