The Chillicothe R-2 School Board will meet Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at the administration building. During the closed meeting, the board will discuss real estate and the audit of the 2007-08 school year.

Following the closed session, the board will enter into open session where any bids submitted for purchase of the old Chillicothe High School and/or the R-2 administration building and its surrounding property will be opened at 1 p.m.

The R-2 board declared both the old high school and the administration building and its property as surplus property during the regular September board meeting. Since that meeting, the R-2 District advertised for bids on either or both surplus properties with bids due by Thursday at 1 p.m.
Pre-bid conferences were held at the administration office on Saturday, Oct. 11;  R-2 assistant superintendent Wade Schroeder said that one party attended the pre-bid conference for the administration building and its surrounding property...........
