City sets special meeting to discuss future of the hospital

A special City Council meeting has been announced for next Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.

Chillicothe Mayor Chuck Haney said the public meeting has been called following an executive session this past Monday following the regular council meeting.

Representatives of the HCR (Healthcare Capital Resources) consulting firm as well as representatives of St. Luke’s and Hedrick Medical Center will be present as well as the full council.

The city will hear information about doing extensive remodeling to the existing hospital facility as well as information about building a totally new facility.

Hedrick Medical Center is city-owned and leased to St. Luke’s Medical Center.
