The Grand River Harmony Chorus will present its second session of Music in the Park at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) night. The performance will be near the ball park at the Walnut Street entrance to Simpson Park. Those attending should bring lawn chairs.
Performers scheduled include pianist Chad Adams, saxophone player and vocalist Lee Jones, Debbie Stimpson, Brittany Gillilan and Shirley Hess. The Grand River Harmony Chorus will open and close the evening’s entertainment.
The third session of Music in the Park will be Friday, Aug. 7. Those interested in performing should contact chorus director Kenny Crawford at 646-4767 to be scheduled. Sound equipment and a full keyboard will be provided. Performers should plan to present two songs.
There is no cost to attend or to participate.
Grand River Harmony chorus is a women’s group which sings a capella barbershop harmony. They rehearse at 6 p.m. each Monday at First Presbyterian Chuch, 401 Elm Street, under the direction of Kenny Crawford. Member ages range from 15 to 70.
