We have completed a lengthy investigation of animal abuse and neglect in the south eastern part of the county. The suspect had left the state and abandoned two horses, one of which was left locked in a barn without food or water. One animal had to be put down as a result of the alleged conduct of the suspect. Due to several factors we had difficulty in obtaining the suspects personal data for an arrest warrant. We have since resolved that matter and are seeking a warrant and extradition from out of state for this suspect.
Last week we transported the following detainees to the Missouri Department of Corrections: Brandon S. Simpson, 22, Chillicothe for parole violation warrant; Bobby Dean Head, 49, Chillicothe on a parole violation warrant; David Lee Utterback, 35, Brunswick on a new commitment of Domestic Assault 2nd degree; Louis Dean Souders, 20, Chillicothe on a new commitment for stealing a motor vehicle; Michael W. Hughes, 31, Theodosia, MO on a parole violation warrant.
