Police still searching for driver in hit and run

Police are still looking for a woman in her 40s to 50s involved in a hit and run accident leaving a young girl with minor injuries.

The accident occurred Monday as the child was waiting for the school bus and was struck by a four door, mid to late 90s model Chevy, possibly a Lumina in the area of Clay and Peacher streets.

The driver of the vehicle stopped after hitting the child and then got back into the car and drove from the scene.

Officer Jeremy Stephens, of the Chillicothe Police Department stated this morning that the CPD has followed up on several leads but have yet to find the driver of the vehicle.

Police are searching for a woman in her 40s or 50s with short, curly, blonde hair.
