Mary Geneva Mitchell Bowman, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Mary Geneva Mitchell Bowman, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mary was born the daughter of William and Opha Mae (Dodson) Dillamon on June 20, 1923, in Carrollton, Missouri. She worked as a machine operator for Lambert Glove Factory and Boss Manufacturing in Chillicothe, Missouri, for 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mary was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge #43 of Chillicothe, and the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary of Chillicothe. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers and gardening, and making Raggedy Ann Dolls. Survivors include three sons, Raymond E. Mitchell and wife Bonnie of Chillicothe, Missouri, Marvin Ray Mitchell and wife Judy of Laclede, Missouri, and Rex Mitchell, Jr. and wife Shirley of Meadville, Missouri; two daughters, Judith Carol Steinman of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Phyllis O’Bryan of Hale, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Gabriel of Merriam, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rex Mitchell; second husband, Harold Miller; third husband, Elmer Bowman; one grandson, Mark O’Bryan; three brothers, Ralph Dillamon, Bill Dillamon, and one infant; and three sisters, Gladys Dillamon, Nellie Dannick, and Frances Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri.
