Esther Marie Gregg, age 62, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 as the result of injuries sustained in a vehicular accident.
Esther Marie Gregg, age 62, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 as the result of injuries sustained in a vehicular accident. Esther was the much loved daughter, sister, and youngest of eleven children, born to Floyd Lee and Lula Marie (Marple) Gregg, on May 30, 1955, in Carroll County, Missouri. Esther was proud to have attended grade school and high school in Bogard, graduating with the Class of 1973. She continued her education by attending North Central Missouri College, where she received an AA. Esther was employed for many years, by the Department of Corrections in Chillicothe, Missouri, as a Corrections Officer, and was also a member of the Emergency Squad. She was full of energy and known for her outgoing, vibrant and spitfire personality, which brought laughter to many. Esther was blessed with a very close knit family whom she dearly loved. To say the least, she loved to play bingo and enjoyed going to the casinos, not even so much as to gamble, but to watch the people and to visit! She was a member of the Mandeville Methodist Church and Phi Theta Kappa-National Honor Society. Esther will be loved and her memories treasured by her family; her ten siblings: William Dee Gregg of Carrollton, Missouri, Anna Lee Bahr of Carrollton, Missouri, Shirley Edwards and husband Leonard, of McPherson, Kansas, Wade Gregg and wife Janice, of Barnard, Kansas, Arnold Gregg and wife Judy, of Carrollton, Missouri, Bobby Gregg and wife Janie, of Bogard, Missouri, Jackie Gregg and wife Gayle, of Carrollton, Missouri, Russell Gregg and wife Dianne, of Oak Grove, Missouri, Sally Hanavan and husband Johnny, of Newcaster, Indiana, Dorothy Allnutt and husband Randy, of Trenton, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; and many great-great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 North 65 Highway, Carrollton, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Bittiker Funeral Home, with Phillip Fisher and Russell Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bogard, Missouri.
