Loretta P. Mesa, 80, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Columbia surrounded by her family.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. A private family service will be held at a later date in Santa Barbara, Calif.

She was born in Texas County to Edward Miller and Arlena Miller-Sawyer, who both preceded her in death.

She grew up in the Cairo/Macon area and graduated from Macon High School.

She then resided in Moberly until moving to Santa Barbara, Calif. in 1984 where she lived until 2000, at which time she moved to Bullhead City, Ariz., before moving back to Missouri where she resided in Columbia until her death.

She most recently worked as a realtor in Arizona. Prior to that, she worked for a corporate law firm in Santa Barbara, Calif. and for Hunter, Chamier, and Lee Law Firm in Moberly.

Loretta was an avid reader, she loved to sew, and play computer games. She loved spending her free time at her favorite beaches in Santa Barbara, Calif.

She was previously married to Don Foster of Moberly and they have two daughters, Donretta (Jamie) Hart of Columbia and Debbie (Gerry) Winkler, of Phoenix who survive.

Survivors include her husband, George Mesa of the home; and sister, Margaret (Mike) D’Ambra of Idyllwild, Calif.

Surviving are also two step-daughters, Sandy Mesa, and Syndilou Mesa; stepson, Salvador Mesa, all of California; four grandchildren, Toni Taylor of Wylie, Texas, Christopher Hart of Columbia, Justin Winkler of Tampa, Fla., and Brendon (Lindsey) Winkler of Phoenix; two step-grandsons, Joseph Mesa and Eric Mesa, both of California; ten great-grandchildren; an aunt; and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Christopher Matthew Hart.
