Douglas Allen Guyer

Douglas Allen Guyer, 69, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2018, at his home. He was born March 27, 1949 in Linneus, MO.

Doug was a quiet and thoughtful man, with a sharp intellect, kind heart, mischievous smile, and clever sense of humor. He enjoyed farming and drove a school bus for Linn County R-1 for 20 years.

He was preceded in death, by his first wife, Cheryl (Sportsman) and their unborn child; his parents, Theodore “Ted” and Lois Guyer; and his brother Jacob.

He is survived by his children, Travis and Ashley Guyer; son-in-law Andrew Bernier; and grandsons, Joel and Elliot Bernier; stepson, Brian Buckman; his brother, John and sister, Patsy Ripley; nephews, Brian Ripley, Steve (Cathy) Ripley, and Kenneth (Rebecca) Ripley; his aunts, Shirley (Guyer) Sheen and Emily (Walcott) Guyer; and several great- nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private burial was held at Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield, MO.
