David Nelson Walker, age 71, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Blackwater Restaurant and Lounge, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.There will be a private family inurnment at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Cemetery and/or Forest O. Betty Noble

Funeral Services for Betty Noble, age 85 of Bonham, TX will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Bonham, TX, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Rev. Morgan Malone. 

      A second service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Utica Baptist Church in Utica, MO, with Pastor Chuck Griever officiating, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Interment will follow at Utica Cemetery.  Betty passed away on July 18, 2018.

Winona Vernice Sharp

Funeral services for Winona Vernice Sharp of Dawn MO were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.

The service was officiated by Pastor Danny Batson.

The musical selection of The Dance was provided by CD and Precious Lord was performed by guitarist and soloist Danny Batson accompanied by Stanley Maberry also on the guitar.

The pallbearers were Cristopher Talbert, Richard Wells, Isaiah Sprong, James Sprong, Ron Novak and Bryan Wood. The honorary pallbearers were Ethan Gabrielson and Corban Norman

The burial was at Welsh Cemetery, Dawn, MO.

Richard “Dick” Dean Buss

Services for Richard “Dick” Dean Buss, age 84, of Chillicothe, MO, who passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, were held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Church of Christ of Chillicothe, MO.

Officiant was Elder Ray Blakely.

Music, provided by song leader Jay Callen, was “Our God Is Alice” No. 23, “Because He Lives” No. 464 vs. 1 & 3, “How Great Thou Art” No. 76 vs. 1, 3 & 4, “Let The Lower Lights Be Burning” No. 642. Special musical selection was by Shannon Buss.

Honorary pallbearers were Dan Tuftee, George Christoff, John Mohr and Steve Trego.

Private family inurnment was held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.

Arrangements were by Lindley Funeral Home of Chillicothe, MO.

Goldie Gray

Goldie Gray, age 91 of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Winnsboro. She was born on October 4th, 1926 in Sampsel, Missouri to John William Simmons and Mayme Katherine (Thompson) Simmons. She married Gomer Stephen Gray on May 12, 1943.

She lived in Winnsboro since February of 2009 coming from Los Alamos, New Mexico where she was a member at White Rock Baptist Church. She was an office manager for TG&Y in Los Alamos from 1963 to 1993, before that, she worked for BOSS Manufacturing Company (glove factory) in Chillicothe, Missouri from 1962 to 1963. A lady who loved to fish, she will also be remembered for how much she enjoyed Bowling, as well as her ability as a seamstress, gardener, and talent with crochet. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, Gomer S. Gray on November 9, 1962; her parents; granddaughter, Tammy Lynn (Gray) Register; brothers and sisters, Willie, Mabel, Hubert, Betty Lou, Judy, Virgil, and Robert. Surviving family includes, son and daughter-in-law, Gomer Junior Gray and Edie Ann of Winnsboro; siblings, Daisy Shackleford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Darlene Casella of Swedesboro, New Jersey, (Mickey) Eric M. Simmons;  grandchildren, Selene and husband Brent Musslewhite, James and wife Nicole Gray; great grandchildren, Alex Register, Marc Register, Kylee Musslewhite, Aspen Gray and Justin Gray

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Tammy Jo Anne Sperry

Tammy Jo Anne (Wever) Sperry, age 55, a resident of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Keytesville, Missouri.

Tammy was born the daughter of Adelbert and Ruby (Perry) Wever on April 30, 1963, in Chillicothe, Missouri.  She was united in marriage to Steve Sperry on September 28, 1998, in Liberty, Missouri. He survives of the home. She was a homemaker and enjoyed providing for her family. Tammy loved being a nana to her boys, Isaiah, Damian, Jayzen, Sailor and to her girl, Rainey Jo. She was a member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Independence, Missouri.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Steve, of the home; two daughters, Kandy Mckenzie and husband, Eric, of Keytesville, Missouri and Kindra Sperry of Edwardsville, Kansas; a brother, James Wever and wife, Sandy of Chillicothe, Missouri; a sister, Teresa Griswold of Independence, Missouri ; and five grandchildren, Isaiah, Damian, Jayzen, Sailor of Keytesville, Missouri and Rainey Jo of Edwardsville, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeremy Wever; a sister, Tina Frazier, and her step- mother, Bonnie Wever.

A graveside service will be held at the Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri, Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.  A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Utica Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri.
