Dwight Harold Brinkley, 55, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., passed away at his residence on Friday, June 12, 2009.
Dwight was born Aug. 18, 1953 in Linneus, Mo., the son of Jack and Nylene (Luyster) Brinkley. On May 29, 1976 he married Martha Johnson in Chillicothe, Mo. She survives of the home.
He was a 1971 graduate of Linn County High School and a 1975 graduate of Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo., graduating with a B.S. in Business.
Dwight was a member of the Friendship Lodge No. 89 AF and AM, Chillicothe, Mo., and Sig Tau Gamma, a social fraternity. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church, Linneus, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; two sons, Nick Brinkley, Chillicothe, Mo., and Jake Brinkley, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Mike Arnold Brinkley, Buffalo, Mo., and Jerry Jack Brinkley, Linneus, Mo.; one sister, Camille Gravett and husband Steve, Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call on Monday from 12 noon until 9 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Linneus, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society and may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
