Herman L. Little, 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at his home.
Herman was born Oct. 15, 1928 in Carroll County, Mo., the son of Charles and Cora (Isom) Little. He married Joyce Littrell in May of 1952 in Carrollton, Mo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 1981. He married Goldie Clark Oehring on Aug. 11, 1986 in Bucklin, Mo. She survives of the home.
Herman owned the Standard Gas Station in Carrollton, Mo., from 1960 to 1980. He later worked the parts desk for Rupp’s Automotive for 11 years. He was a member of the Bogard Baptist Church, Bogard, Mo., and attended the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Mo., and Lake Viking, Gallatin, Mo.
Herman is survived by his wife Goldie of the home; one daughter, Diana Deardorff and husband, Kirby, Chillicothe, Mo.,; two sons, Dennis Oehring and wife Robyn, Manchester, Mo., and Dale Oehring, Tampa, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Rickilinda Oehring, Cameron, Mo.; one brother, Nelson Little and wife Beulah, Windsboro, La.; and one sister, DeAun Estes and husband Andy, Brian, Texas; and four grandchildren, J.A. Oehring, Cameron, Mo., Caitlin Korte, Manchester, Mo., Matthrew D. Oehring, Manchester, Mo., and Andrew E. Oehring, Manchester, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joyce Little and one son, Donald Lee Oehring, one infant brother, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. A family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 12 noon until 9 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Burial will be at the Coloma Cemetery, Tina, Mo.
