Brian Edward Saip, 42, of Lake Panasoffee, Fla., formerly of Kansas City, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 in Leesburg, Fla. 
Brian was born Feb. 24, 1967 in Chillicothe, Mo.  He attended schools in Galt, Mo., Chillicothe, Mo., and was a 1985 graduate of Winnetonka High School.
Brian served in the U.S. Army for nine years, stationed in Germany and various other posts. He was a veteran of Desert Storm. Brian was a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his daughter, Leeann, Lake Panasoffee, Fla.; mother, Joan and step-father, Howard Bennett, Galt, Mo.; two brothers, Ryan Neil Saip, Lake Mary, Fla., and John Timothy and wife Nicole Saip, Germany; two sisters, Michele  Casey and husband David, Kearney, Mo., and Kara Bennett, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
 He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Saip, cousin, Denene Fewell, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, Kansas City, Mo.,  where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.
