Frederick T. Curry, 58, of Winchester, Kan., died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 of cancer at his home.

He was born Aug. 1, 1951 to Roy and Irene Curry.

He grew up in the Hale, Mo., area attending Hale elementary school and graduating from Tina-Avalon High School. He was also a graduate of Truman State University at Kirksville, Mo.
Frederick served in the US Army for 20 years and retired as a major. After the Army, he worked for the military contractor, Northrop Grumman.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Natasha, Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Kyle, Leavenworth, Kan.; sisters, Laura Thompson, Plymouth, Maine, and Cecelia Loar, Mannington, W.Va.; one uncle and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service, with military rites, was held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Leavenworth, Kan.

Memorial donations may be made to “Kids Connection” through St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 209 N. 7th Street, Leavenworth KS 66048.
