Cecil Bill Periman, 91, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Mo.
He was born July 29, 1918 in rural Shell Knob, Mo., the son of Ivan Green Periman and Veda Lavettra Felton Periman. On July 29, 1945, Bill married Rose Mary Zulig in Kansas City, Mo. She preceded him in death in 2008.
He worked as a laborer for the Midland Brick and Tile plant in Utica, Mo. for several years and he also farmed in the Utica area.
Bill was a United States Army veteran who served in WWII. He attended Utica Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion.
Bill was an excellent wood worker and carpenter, he built their house in Utica and made some of the furniture. He enjoyed fishing, keeping a large garden and playing the guitar.
Bill is survived by a son, Bill Eugene Periman of Sparks, Nev.; a daughter, Linda Kay Allen and husband David of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Tyrone Periman of Utica, Michelle Hays of Chillicothe, and Eric Periman of California; six great-grandchildren, Amber Hays, Korbin Hays, Samantha Hays, Chelsi Hays, Katie Hays and Lake Periman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Jewell Forbis; and eight brothers, Edward, Richard, Clifford, Earnest, Vernon, Floyd, Jessie and Benton Periman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Chillicothe. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
