Bonnie Springer, 73, of Wheeling, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Life Care Center, Brookfield, Mo.
Bonnie Marie was born Nov. 27, 1935 in Laclede, Mo., the daughter of Eugene Shelby and Eva Mary (Buswell) Cross. On March 5, 1960 she married Marvin William “Bud” Springer.
She graduated from Wheeling High School, Wheeling Mo., in 1953, and worked for TWA and Chillicothe State Bank. She was a homemaker and had farmed with her husband Bud for 49 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Meadville, Mo.
Bonnie enjoyed hunting and fishing and spoiling her grandsons and her dog, Radar.
She is survived by her husband, Bud, of the home; one daughter, Kim Albertson and husband Kenny, Wheeling, Mo.; two grandsons, Jeff and Matt Albertson, Wheeling, Mo.; one sister, Shirley Isaacs, Norborne, Mo.; and nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Justin Springer and wife Charlotte; one sister-in-law, Mary Jo Surber and husband Donald; one brother-in-law, Jack Isaacs; and a nephew, Wesley Isaacs.
A funeral service will be Monday, June 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Christ, Meadville, Mo., with Bro. Dan Green officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, Mo., and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Botts Cemetery, north of Meadville, Mo.
